ARTIST BIO

I am a Cypriot contemporary mixed media painter. My abstract work is full of nature color and unusual textures. I like to use vibrant color, fabric and paper in my work. My process involves applying layers of color and texture to create an intricate and complex statement.

The influence of the Cypriot rock scape was the main idea in one of my work series. They are inspired by the rocks of Troodos and the ophiolite complex of Troodos mountain.

My figurative paintings are also inspired of nature and science and are based on dissection.

I am inspired of nature and beauty of nature but also human belongs to nature and so anatomical figures are to show how human beings are.

The textural element of my work is very important to me as I use natural elements that connect to the subject.

I also experimented myself on installation and I found it an amazing way of expressing meanings through that and I loved this kind of work as much as I love abstract work.

I invite the viewer to use not only their visual sense but also their tacticle sense to experience my paintings.
